Maikoot Limited creates and modifies 3D CAD models for product development, replacement parts, prototyping and manufacturing support.
Start with a sketch, drawing, existing file, scan or physical part. We will review what is available and confirm the most useful CAD route.
CAD defines the geometry, dimensions, interfaces and assembly details needed before a part is prototyped or manufactured.
We can build a new model, modify an existing design, repair a file or prepare agreed technical outputs. The scope and deliverables are confirmed before work begins.
Build a model from a brief, sketch, dimensions or agreed reference information.
Change features, dimensions, clearances, fixing points or form around an existing design.
Convert paper drawings, PDFs, scans or legacy dimensional information into a usable 3D model.
Repair damaged geometry and prepare suitable files for prototyping or additive manufacturing.
Produce simple PDF manufacturing/reference drawings from an approved model, where agreed.
Support selected freeform, ergonomic or product-shaped modelling where suitable.
Physical-part reconstruction and scan-to-CAD work are explained on the Reverse Engineering & 3D Scanning page.
Paper drawings, scanned drawings, PDFs and dimensional sketches can be recreated as a 3D CAD model.
The result depends on the information supplied. Missing dimensions, unclear views or worn reference parts may require confirmation, physical measurement or a separate reverse-engineering route.
Confirm intended use, critical dimensions, source information and required deliverables.
Create or modify the agreed CAD geometry.
Customer reviews the named revision and confirms required changes.
Issue the agreed output or move into prototype or production.
Deliverables are stated in the quotation. A physical prototype or printed part does not automatically include editable source CAD files, native files or unrestricted manufacturing rights. File release or licensing can be agreed separately. See our Terms & Conditions.
A compact functional model developed around mounting, guiding and clearance features.
A multi-feature part developed around bores, mounting points and practical assembly geometry.
A freeform body model showing how selected visual or shaped work can be supported.
CAD Design & 3D Modelling is charged at £45 per hour including VAT, subject to a minimum design service charge of £60 including VAT.
CAD modification, file repair, 2D-to-3D conversion and technical drawing production start from £50 excluding VAT (£60 including VAT), depending on the information supplied and the complexity.
Final pricing is confirmed after review. Complex, open-ended or multi-part work receives a custom quotation.
For production work, the customer should approve the named CAD or drawing revision before manufacture begins.
Send the available information and explain what the model needs to support. We will review it and confirm the most useful CAD route, required deliverables and final quotation.
